I’ve become a fan of the 30 day challenge, where you pick a habit that you’d really like to create (or even one you’d like to lose) and you concentrate on doing that habit day in, day out, for a month.
The idea is that it takes 20 iterations of an action (or so) to make a habit. Before that, you have to use force of will to do it, but, afterwards, it becomes ingrained in your grey matter so it’s much easier to keep it going with little effort.
For example, the habit might be: quitting coffee, exercising, going alcohol-free, composing a minute of music, getting up early, planning and prioritising your schedule…
I’m aware I’ve been a little slack posting on this blog for the start of this year, and it really is something that I enjoy doing… when I make the time!
So, in an effort to create an ingrained habit, I’m going to commit to posting in this blog once a day for thirty days, starting today. I’ll write something music-, film-, theatre-, multimedia-, business- or social media-related, that hopefully will be of interest and of use to somebody out there!
So here goes… and… published!
