HUGE NEWS!
I got funded. I’m now supported as an artist by Arts Council England. How bleeping exciting!
I’m going to take a decent chunk of the next 7 months to both learn some new computer music toys and tools, go deeper into the capabilities of some of the tools I already have but haven’t had time to really dig into, and give some time over to develop a musical voice that doesn’t depend on an outside brief.
The funding stream is called ‘Developing Your Creative Practice’ (often abbreviated to DYCP). It’s open again for applications – if you vaguely think you’re eligible, I say go for it.
Since this is a separate (-ish) endeavour to all my lovely work on other people’s awesome projects, I’ve set up a separate site to archive my thoughts and musical sketches during the process here.
If you’re interested in keeping up-to-date with this, subscribe to my newsletter, or to the new blog’s feed in an RSS reader (old-school!) like Feedly.
I’ll still be writing articles on here as time allows, never fear.
Hurray!
